FEAR

Paint is melting from the walls

Blood is dripping

Be afraid

Breathe before you fall

Here you stand alone

In the face of unforgiving eyes

Where is your God now?

Waiting for your demise?

Just a broken law of nature

To which define a miracle

Flaws of perfect imperfection

Fear the unknown

Nothing is every what it seems

The beating of your heart so loud

No one can hear you scream

Amongst the stomping crowd

Just a broken law of nature

To which define a miracle

Flaws of perfect imperfection

Fear the unknown

One mistake and you’ll become the pray

They’ll know exactly who you are

Take your chances anyway

A shred of doubt with a scar

This song was written and recorded as The Others when it was just me and the hubby–an experiment of sorts–just the beginning. Most of the lyrics written at the time, between 2010 and 2011, were loosely based upon term papers I wrote while finishing up the B.A. in Philosophy. Love it, hate it, or leave it, but I also loved (and still do) my vampire analogies!

Sleep tight for me. I’m gone!
